I would like to introduce you to Sdyney M. Alexander. She is also known as "Syda". She is 7 years old and my beautiful daughter. She has her daddy's eyes. One night, we were having a "girl's sleepover" with no boys allowed. (Including dad!) We were snuggling and talking. During the night... she said, "Mom, last night I went over to God's house". I was stunned. I also wanted to know more! So, I inquired. I said, "Syda, what did you guys do?" She said, "We watered the flowers, let it rain on the lawn and went swimming in His pool." I said, "Wow!" She replied, "Yes, He has a REALLY big pool." She added, "Then, we just talked." Well, talk about curiosity killing the cat! I asked, "Syda, what did you talk about?" She answered, "You know...just stuff."
Immediately, my heart was pricked. We closed our eyes. We said our prayers. Then, we headed off to God's house together.
Honestly, that is what prayer is. It's about going to God's house and talking to Him about our stuff. It's about spending time together. He could be watering the flowers of our heart or simply letting it rain on the lawn of our spirit. You can even swim in the pool of HIS love! Just dive in. Syda and I have!
Finally, one of my favorite verses in the Bible is found in Psalm 27:7-8. David writes these words, Psalm 27:7-8 "Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
Take the trip. We urge you. Just go with us one day over to God's house. You'll have a wonderful time there! You might even want to spend Christmas there.
xxooxx
